Jordana S. Pepper, Ph.D.
Education:
My undergraduate studies traversed multiple disciplines and included coursework in Psychology, Linguistics, Computer Science, and Philosophy. In 2010, I received my Bachelor of Art's degree in Cognitive Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley. The next six years I traveled and lived abroad working in high tech and marketing, applying my knowledge of human behavior to business. In 2016, I returned to the United States to pursue my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a specialty in Forensic Psychology. In 2021 my dissertation was successfully defended and I received my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a Forensic specialization from Nova Southeastern University. I hold active, unrestricted Clinical Psychology licenses in Colorado, Texas, and Arizona, and I have unrestricted Authority to Practice Inter jurisdictional Telepsychology through PSYPACT licensure.
Experience:
During graduate school my clinical interests and experiences dealt with treatment and assessment of first responders and law enforcement officers, many of whom suffer from co-morbid mental health and substance abuse disorders. My assessment experience focused on forensic evaluations of mentally ill offenders involved in the criminal justice system. In 2020 I completed my pre-doctoral internship with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, where I studied forensic evaluation and the treatment of seriously mentally ill offenders. From 2021 to the present, I have served as a Clinical Psychologist and sworn Law Enforcement Officer in the federal prison system, where I provide psychological assessment and treatment to mentally ill offenders in addition to private practice and contract assessment work.
